  • She is currently an independent communications advisor for innovative pharma industry. Previously, she worked as Director of Communication, NBA China where she’s responsible for C-Suite communications, crisis management, marketing partnership communication and the organizations’ CSR activities.
  • Prior to the NBA, Emma worked as Director of Burson-Marsteller, and Associate Director at Weber Shandwick Beijing office, Senior Account Manager at H-line Ogilvy. She provided strategic counsel on external and internal communications to clients from various industries such as sports food, education, finance, retail, etc.
  • As an experienced crisis communication professional, Emma has advised organizations and individuals on a range of issues and crises including constitutional issues, product recalls, executive dismissal/changes, employee and labor issues, major restructurings, operational crises, and shareholder/performance challenges.
  • Emma also has overseas experience in Canada. She worked as a member of Canada-China business strategies and a cross culture consultant at H+K Strategies Canada office. She provided cross cultural communications strategies and conducted successful communications campaigns for clients such as Tourism Toronto, Toronto International Film Festival, Loblaws, Toronto Soccer Team. Emma started her career at Hangzhou Daily Newspaper in China as a journalist.
  • Emma contributes her wide spectrum of expertise and experience in reputation management, corporate responsibility and crisis/issue management, digital communications, public affairs, brand marketing, internal communications, C-suite media relations, content development, and media/crisis communications training to deliver pioneering, impactful and effective programs.
  • Emma holds a bachelor degree from China’s Xiamen University in international journalism and mass communication, and a postgraduate public relations certificate from Ryerson University.
